Photography, Art and Designing are the three things that are always connected with each other. It is always better to learn the basics of art and photography before going for a design.
Art & Photography
Art depends upon the imaginary feelings that we have inside our mind and expressing our inner feelings through out the combination of various colours is an art. Art is not there where machines and mathematical formulas are used. The works done by mathematical formulas and machines are the works of our brain it is not suitable to take it as an art. Decoration and designing is an art but calculating a mathematical equation or the data statically through out the scientific calculator is not, similarly painting and drawing is an art but photography is not. If a painter paints a house and doors simply that's not an art but if he paints his feelings of design and decoration with the combination of colours that will surely be an art. Similarly playing music, dancing, decorating, making sculptures are different forms of art and capturing those images full of art within the camera is photography. So that is how art and photography differs with each other.
Graphics For Web Designing
Designing is an art through which a person is able to express his feelings or put into paper what is in the person’s mind. Art is a god gifted talent, which comes by birth. Today many people create any sort of crazy images that comes into their mind using computer technologies which can be taken as Graphic Designing. Graphic designing deals with the layout of magazines, cover designs, creating brochures, visiting cards, advertising, web designs, large format billboards designs, t-shirt print designs, web banners and many other fields where still images are used. Graphic designers create the desirable output. The designs includes not only pictures but text as well which gives the right sort of message to its viewers. So graphic designs can be taken as the combination of still or static images and text to create a design by which a message is given to the person viewing the design. Like any other form of art, creativity and patience is must. A person must have a creative mind if he is to create a quality designs. He must show patience while designing without which the quality of his design may be affected. Besides. He must also have a side knowledge or concept of art like perspectives, proportion and colour combination. This helps the designer in creating designs that have quality and attraction.
Graphic designing can be done by hand or with the help of the computer. More and more people seek the help of computers to create an effective design. More than 90% of the designs are done with the help of the computer and remaining 10% also seeks the help of the computer soft wares. So to become a successful graphic designer one needs to take the computer classes relating with graphic designing, which teaches us the method of using various graphical soft wares. Graphic designing course are divided into two parts.
1. Vector Graphic: Vector Graphic can be defined as an image made up of line and its connecting points. It is actually an line art. The enlargement of Vector Graphics doesn’t effects its quality and clarity . The soft wares used for vector graphic are Corel Draw, Macromedia Freehand and Adobe Illustrator.
2. Raster Graphic: Raster Graphic uses the pixels to describe an image eq like Bitmap & jpeg images. The enlargement of Raster Graphic affects its quality and clarity. The software used for designing Raster Graphic are Adobe Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, and Photo Paint. A graphic designer must have the knowledge in using and designing both the Vector and Raster graphic if he is to become an efficient designer.
